Westpac Kogarah

The Westpac Kogarah refurbishment project involved a staged and complex upgrade of the existing satellite office, formerly occupied by St George Bank. Spanning 31,000m², the refurbishment was designed to align with Westpac’s new Ways of Working and was carried out in a live, occupied environment. This required careful planning around critical infrastructure within the building, including systems supporting the bank’s ATM network.

A key feature of the project was the creation of a rooftop recreation area, which includes play courts, a running track, a landscaped garden, and a barbecue space. The atrium underwent a complete redesign, with the original structure demolished to make way for a modern, technology-driven hub aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration. The design incorporated natural materials and timber. Adjacent to the atrium, the existing theatre was also upgraded with enhanced acoustics and advanced technology to improve connectivity with Westpac’s national network.
