Queen Mary Building Student Accommodation
The Queen Mary Building refurbishment is a landmark adaptive reuse project that transformed a historic nurses’ home into modern student accommodation. The 27,000m² redevelopment involved a full interior strip-out and structural upgrades to meet modern safety and seismic standards. The building now houses over 800 student rooms across 12 levels, complemented by communal kitchens, entertainment lounges, music rooms, study areas, and rooftop terraces.
Sensitive heritage conservation was a key focus, with original architectural elements restored or replicated, including staircases, windows, and the heritage apartment wing.
